XI International Meeting of Colonial History 

The Organizing Committee and the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (UFRB) are pleased to invite the teaching and research community to the 11th International Meeting on Colonial History (XI EIHC ). The event will take place in person from October 6th to 9th, 2026 , under the theme "Worlds in Reconstruction: Connections, exchanges, and tensions of identities in the constitution of overseas empires (15th-19th Centuries)". The program includes conferences, roundtables, paper presentations in thematic symposia (TSs), mini-courses, and panel presentations. We welcome and invite professors, researchers, and students from a wide range of academic and educational institutions to participate in this event, which represents and consolidates the movement, experiences, and knowledge production in the field of Modern History in our country.
